Under the direction of the Patient Access Manager the Patient Access Representative is responsible for interviewing patients or their representatives in order to determine and record all demographic and financial information necessary to accurately and effectively process the registration, billing and payment functions. The Patient Access Representative will perform these services within the context of Sonoma Valley Hospital's mission, goals and objectives.
Prioritizes and accurately performs a wide variety of clinical laboratory tests on various biological specimens based on established clinical procedures. Reviews, evaluates, documents and reports results. Preserves confidentiality of patients and follows lab safety and maintenance protocols.
Performs a variety of roles to assist in the care of patients in the operating room in accordance with established policies and protocols for surgical technologists.
Performs a variety of clerical tasks associated with the processing and maintenance of patient medical records such as prepping, scanning and indexing. Provides assistance to internal and external customers. Assists patients with requests for medical records.
Provides social services to patients with identified social, behavioral and/or mental-emotional needs in the acute and emergency department settings. Acts as a liaison with community provider agencies to develop care resource networks. Works with the multidisciplinary team to build effective care coordination planning for patients and their families with a focus on holistic care. Under the direction of the Supervising Physician provides primary care in the physician clinic. Duties include providing general and preventative care, educating patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Serves as a clinical resource to medical assistants, reviews and revises clinical policies and procedures per policy.
The Unit Assistant/Telemetry Technician is an important member of the care team, supporting all departments in the delivery of safe, efficient care to patients on MedSurg and ICU. Responsible for helping create and maintain a healthy working environment for all members of the care team, an efficient and organized unit, and a safe, healing atmosphere for our patients. Enhances the daily operations of the units, supports patient throughput, and provides outstanding service excellence. Expected to perform basic patient care duties autonomously and also at the direction of the RN.

Manages the overall daily operations of the Laboratory using a wide variety of administrative, fiscal and technical activities to ensure its efficient operation. Supervises, coordinates and evaluates the system and professional staff responsible for the collection and processing of specimens to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment of disease. The Emergency Nurse is responsible for high quality individualized patient care in the Emergency Department requiring a broad range of knowledge and expertise in the treatment of patients experiencing medical emergencies ranging from low acuity (earaches) to full blown resuscitative encounters (acute stroke, cardiac arrest). Practices within the scope of RN licensure as defined by California Board of Registered Nursing, the Nurse Practice Act and Emergency Nurses Association standards of practice. Advocates for and participates in high quality patient care and patient experience.
The Physical Therapist Assistant treats patients primarily in the outpatient physical therapy setting following an established plan set by the physical therapist. Provides advice and education to patient, family and caregivers. Regularly assesses patients clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment as well as need to modify goals or treatment or plan discharge in conjunction with physical therapist. Provides accurate and timely documentation and coordinates care with other health care professionals. Effectively participates in clinical site education through in-services and clinical education of assigned students.

Administers contrast as prescribed. Assists physicians during procedures, adhering to sterile technique guidelines. Monitors and maintains patient safety at all times. Performs routine quality control on x-ray and CT equipment.

Assists radiologists with procedures maintaining strict sterile technique. Evaluates image quality and communicates findings to the appropriate physician. Performs routine quality control on the ultrasound machines.
