The Operating Room RN Circulator plans and performs all nursing care for patients who will undergo surgery and other invasive procedures. They provide nursing care from assessment to outcome evaluation. With this role, the RN Circulator is usually the single advocate for patient safety during operative procedures. The RN Circulator assists the team in creating and maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for the patient and observes the team from a wide perspective to provide safety within the period of the operation. 

Under the direction of the Patient Access Manager the Patient Access Representative is responsible for interviewing patients or their representatives in order to determine and record all demographic and financial information necessary to accurately and effectively process the registration, billing and payment functions. The Quality Improvement Coordinator performs specialized quality, regulatory, and performance improvement support functions for the organization. This role partners with leadership and departments to ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and internal quality standards.

Under general supervision, performs mammographic procedures following established policies and protocols. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. The Housekeeper is responsible for the regularly scheduled cleaning and disinfection, waste removal, linen management and floor care of an assigned area of the hospital. This role contributes to the safety of all patients, staff and visitors by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all clinical and non-clinical areas in the Hospital and off-site facilities. This position necessitates good physical dexterity utilizing suitable body mechanics and stamina for sustained periods of time. Requires flexibility to changing priorities in daily workload and requires a high level of dedication and attention to detail to meet infection prevention standards.

A MRI Technologist performs all functions of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Under general supervision, performs MRI examinations and procedures according to established policies and protocols and patient's age-specific needs. Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing patients, operating MRI and related equipment, and administering contrast media as prescribed. Performs MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical details. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative for accurate diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for maintaining safety in designated areas or procedures.

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients primarily in the outpatient therapy setting. Establishes an appropriate Plan of Care and provides individualized skilled treatment including the fabrication of custom orthoses. Provides accurate and timely documentation and coordinates care with other health care professionals. Effectively participates in clinical site education through in-services and clinical education of assigned students.

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides oversight of all nursing services at Sonoma Valley Hospital (SVH). The Emergency Room (ER) Technician is part of the Emergency care team in which high customer service is paramount.  Direct contact with patients, families, physicians and staff require a consistent approach to service excellence.   This position is a front line member of the nursing team and coordinates all clerical aspects of patient processing.  They collaborate with the nurses to ensure safe bed assignment, simple wound care, suture removal and other duties to support efficient, effective and timely patient care.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an important member of the patient care team, supporting patients, nurses and also overall unit functioning. The CNA is responsible for helping create and maintain a safe, healing environment for our patients, and a healthy working environment for the care team.  The CNA is expected to perform duties autonomously and also at the direction of the RN. The CNA reports to the Director of Patient Services.

Performs clerical duties related to patient diet orders and menus. Serves as a liaison between patients and the food and nutrition services department. Processes information related to nutritional care of patients. Collects, maintains, and communicates data relative to patient's dietary requirements and operational needs of the department. 

This position is responsible for the daily work and work flow within the Surgical Care Unit (SCU). The Clinical Coordinator/SCU Charge RN supervises the nursing staff in coordinating schedules, nursing assignments and patient care in the preoperative and postoperative phases of surgery from preadmission through discharge.

The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients primarily in the outpatient physical therapy setting. Provides accurate and timely documentation and coordinates care with other health care professionals. Effectively participates in clinical site education through in-services and clinical education of assigned students. 

The Speech Therapist administers diagnostic speech, language, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing evaluations for adult and pediatric populations and provides therapeutic intervention. Prepares timely, complete documentation. Attends interdisciplinary care planning meetings.

Under the direction of the Supervising Physician provides primary care in the physician clinic. Duties include providing general and preventative care, educating patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Serves as a clinical resource to medical assistants, reviews and revises clinical policies and procedures per policy.

The Physical Therapist Assistant treats patients primarily in the outpatient physical therapy setting following an established plan set by the physical therapist. Provides advice and education to patient, family and caregivers. Regularly assesses patients clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment as well as need to modify goals or treatment or plan discharge in conjunction with physical therapist. Provides accurate and timely documentation and coordinates care with other health care professionals. Effectively participates in clinical site education through in-services and clinical education of assigned students.

The Financial Counselor provides assistance to patients with Hospital Presumptive Eligibility (HPE) and Charity Care applications; may act as a liaison between the patient and Patient Advocate Vendor to obtain MediCal. Works though patient's financial obligations, both with and without insurance, and provides assistance with payment arrangements. Performs analysis of inpatient and outpatient records to assure their completeness. Assigns physician deficiencies in a timely manner. Monitors incomplete records, provides notification to physicians of delinquencies and performs physician suspension when required. Provides back up for HIM receptionist as needed assisting physician offices and patients with requests. Provides back up for HIM representative as needed assisting with scanning inpatient and ACU charts

The Rehab Clinical Coordinator assists the Director of Rehabilitation Services in the daily operations of the Rehab dept including staffing and quality improvement. Evaluates and treats patients in both the inpatient and outpatient physical therapy setting. Provides accurate and timely documentation and coordinates care with other health care professionals. Will help to develop and prepare monthly productivity and quality reports. Participates in community outreach and serves as a resource in community education.
