The cook prepares and serves meals to patients, employees, and visitors using primarily scratch cooking methods. The cook ensures all foods prepared meet existing standards for quality, freshness, taste, texture, consistency and appearance by using standardized recipes and production sheets.
The Support Services Specialist performs a variety of duties in multiple departments, as assigned, on a routine "fill-in" basis. Assigned roles/responsiblities include Housekeeping/Janitor role in Environmental Services (EVS), Food Service Worker in Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) and Receiving/Distribution in Materials Management (MM). The schedule is variable, per department assignment. This role contributes to the safety of all patients, staff and visitors in maintaining all assigned areas in a sanitary condition. This position necessitates good physical dexterity utilizing suitable body mechanics and stamina for sustained periods of time.

The Nursing Supervisor is able to cover nurse staffing in ICU, ED and Med/Surg.

Under direct/indirect supervision follows approved infection control, quality assurance and departmental policies and procedures. Collects, cleans, decontaminates, disinfects and/or sterilizes surgical instrument trays, scopes, and packs, reusable medical devices and patient care equipment for inpatient nursing and other patient-care department units. Inventories, restocks and distributes instruments, reusable medical equipment and medical supplies to patient-care departments, as requested.
