The Registered Nurse (RN) is an integral part of the patient care team. The RN assists in the delivery of high quality, individualized patient care. The RN autonomously practices within the scope of RN licensure as defined by the California Board of Registered Nursing, and the Nurse Practice Act. The RN advocates for patients and their families, the care team and the organization. The RN designs and carries out the plan of care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementing and evaluation.
The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients primarily in the hospital physical therapy setting. Provides accurate and timely documentation and coordinates care with other health care professionals. Effectively participates in clinical site education through in-services and clinical education of assigned students.
The Director of Quality provides direct oversight of Quality Management, Risk Management, Infection Prevention, and Case Management. This position oversees all Patient Safety and Culture of Safety initiatives, as well as accreditation and licensing and Medical Staff Peer Review. Under the direction of the Medical Director, provides primary patient care, performs medical examinations and compiles medical data. Follows all protocols and provides care within scope of practice. Prepares timely, legible and complete documentation of all patient care as provided by law, regulation and established policy. Communicates and works with medical staff to ensure coordinated efforts for the provision of high quality medical treatment and patient service.
The Emergency Nurse is responsible for high quality individualized patient care in the Emergency Department requiring a broad range of knowledge and expertise in the treatment of patients experiencing medical emergencies ranging from low acuity (earaches) to full blown resuscitative encounters (acute stroke, cardiac arrest). Practices within the scope of RN licensure as defined by California Board of Registered Nursing, the Nurse Practice Act and Emergency Nurses Association standards of practice. The Speech Therapist administers diagnostic speech, language, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing evaluations for adult and pediatric populations and provides therapeutic intervention. Prepares timely, complete documentation. Attends interdisciplinary care planning meetings.
The dietitian works closely with the inpatient and outpatient multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide patients/residents care that is integrated and compatible with the patient/resident focused medical goals and objectives.
The Nursing Supervisor has 24/7 Administrative and Operational responsibility for the organization. They perform under the authority of executive leadership. Operationally, they are responsible for patient safety, quality, staff education and service excellence. The Nursing Supervisor is a fiscal steward for the organization collaborating with nursing and ancillary leaders in problem solving staffing roles and responsibilities.
