SCU (Surgical Care Unit) RN is responsible for the preoperative preparation and recovering of all surgical patients. Responsible to act as an integral team member and keep patients moving through the unit in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Able to apply critical thinking skills throughput the surgical continuum for each patient under their care. Skilled in post anesthesia recovery care of patient undergoing various types of procedures with different combinations of anesthesia.

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients primarily in the outpatient therapy setting. Establishes an appropriate Plan of Care and provides individualized skilled treatment including the fabrication of custom orthoses. Provides accurate and timely documentation and coordinates care with other health care professionals. Effectively participates in clinical site education through in-services and clinical education of assigned students.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an important member of the patient care team, supporting patients, nurses and also overall unit functioning. The CNA is responsible for helping create and maintain a safe, healing environment for our patients, and a healthy working environment for the care team. The CNA is expected to perform duties autonomously and also at the direction of the RN. The CNA reports to the Director of Patient Services.
This position is responsible for the daily work and work flow within the Surgical Care Unit (SCU). The Clinical Coordinator/SCU Charge RN supervises the nursing staff in coordinating schedules, nursing assignments and patient care in the preoperative and postoperative phases of surgery from preadmission through discharge.
The Speech Therapist administers diagnostic speech, language, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing evaluations for adult and pediatric populations and provides therapeutic intervention. Prepares timely, complete documentation. Attends interdisciplinary care planning meetings.

Performs routine quality control on x-ray and CT equipment.
